The Abbeyfield Supported Living provides private accommodation within a family-style house with the benefits of communal living.
The residents are all of retirement age and live in their own private studio room with an ensuite and furnished with their own things. They share lunch and dinner in the communal dining room and the Abbeyfield team deliver everything required for a self-serve breakfast provided directly to residents, with snacks and drinks available throughout the day. We offer a worry-free solution as the daily running of the house, including the shopping and the preparation and serving of meals, is run by the Abbeyfield team.
Sheltered Housing does not offer the communal activities or meal provision. These features are, however, included in Abbeyfield Supported living.
The Abbeyfield Society is a nationwide charity of which Abbeyfield The Dales is a member society that provides housing, support & care for people at different stages of later life across Yorkshire.
